One Year Birthday of the Tree Huggers!

May 12th is our birthday and that means it's been one year since we started our online campaign to help promote and support Neon Trees. And it's been an amazing year! We've met and talked to so many awesome Tree Huggers all across the United States and the world and we're very happy that you love Neon Trees as much as we do!
Thank you all SO much for your support of the Neon Trees Fans: Tree Huggers; the Twitter, the Facebook and here at the Archive (who's still just fledgling compared to the Twitter and Facebook).
Also, we are very happy to see so many people out there who love Neon Trees and support them by going to shows, promoting, buying the music and merch, and just talking about the band with family and friends! It's people who do these things and so much more that help the band and are a part of the reason the band is where they are today.

To thank all of you for your ongoing support of us and the band and to celebrate our birthday, we're giving YOU GUYS a gift! That's right, we're going to give away a SIGNED Animal vinyl. Yes, one of those pretty, colorful ones. This one, in fact:

This is something every dedicated Tree Hugger should have, the fact that it is signed just makes it special and I want to give it to one of you!

All you guys have to do is send me an email, neontreesfans@gmail.com, and explain to me why you love Neon Trees. I want to hear exactly why! The better the stories and reasons, the better chance you have of winning. Just saying, "Omg, I love them because Animal rocks!" will get you entered, but your logic and reasoning won't boost you up in the polls. I'm not looking for Shakespeare, either. Just be truthful and have fun! Tell me about how the first time you heard Habits convinced you of your love or how you identify with the music or how their shows sealed the deal!
Also, this giveaway is open to Tree Huggers all over the world! So if you live in the U.S., Japan, France, Australia or wherever, you can enter!

Rules:

• Subject line of email must say: Tree Hugger birthday giveaway (or something close to this so I know what the email's about!) 
• After you've told me why you love Neon Trees, please give me your name and country (for statistical purposes so I know where I might be shipping the vinyl to.) 
• Only enter ONCE. Please. 
• If you already have an Animal vinyl, just remember that there are MANY others who don't. I hope you keep this in mind if you choose to enter. 
• Try to keep your entry a bit shorter than a novel. The longer, the better, usually. But let's not do an essay. 1000 word max. But I'm not enforcing this. 
• Do NOT spam our Twitter, Facebook wall or the comments sections of the Archive to try and win. Entries submitted by email will be the only ones considered. 
• Due date for all entries is May 11 at 9pm Eastern Time (6pm Pacific Time).
• If you win, please send us a photo of you with the vinyl when you receive it so we can post your smiling face at the Archive!

The winner will be chosen by myself and a non-Tree Hugger second party and we'll announce the winner at 9pm Eastern Time (6pm Pacific) on May 12, 2011 at all of our social outlets. The winner will also be sent an email of congratulations and will be asked to reply with their mailing address; please respond within 5 days. Winner's prize will include one (1) 10-inch Animal vinyl, signed.
