Neon Trees' Amazingly Smooth Inspiration
Neon Trees' symbolic "heart with wings" logo underwent a fun cherry-inspired transformation for their headphones. The band also wanted to include a signature font. Fans will recognize it as the font used for their hit "Animal," as well as on several other singles.

To be completely honest I didn't like the Neon Trees AT ALL when I first heard them. What changed my mind was a concert I went to, which they opened for, on April 9th. Initially I went to the Fillmore for My Chemical Romance, but by the end of that night I was a die-hard Tree Hugger. The stage presence of Neon Trees, their sound, their originality, and their engulfing, how can I put it, awesomeness won me over. Tyler Glenn was all over the stage, Chris Allen rocked the guitar, Branden Campbell slapped the bass like no other, and to top it off Elaine Bradley threw her drumsticks into the crowd after they were done playing and I got one, after fighting over it for probably 10 min. Ever since Neon Trees has been my addiction, I'm their number one little monster, Tree Hugger, and fan. I live in Denver, Colorado (the United States of America) and hope to see Neon Trees again wherever they are! Right now it's looking like Las Vegas but who knows?! I'm a die-hard Tree Hugger and I can't wait to see Neon Trees again and listen to the new music they are yet to produce.

Prior to moving to Phoenix, while living in Salt Lake City, my children and I attended the Mountain Dew Tour. I am able to get three-day passes for the event because I am with the local union and help set up the structures for it. The first evening is when they do the concerts on the blocked off street and that Friday of 2010 is when we first experienced the rocking music of Neon Trees. I have 13 year old twins, Nevada and Shelbie, and an 11 year old, Haylee. Since the day after Christmas of '08, which is the day gang members shot and murdered my oldest (Ashley Marie Sparks God rest her), everyday life as you can imagine is no longer as easy as breathing. Its more like gasping for air and needing oxygen. My children struggle many days to just feel normal, so days like that Friday when they are walked back stage because we happened to be at the right place at the right time, holds more value to them then I can explain. My son, Nevada, is becoming quite the talented musician. Like his big sister that was killed, any instrument he picks up or sits down to he can play. Piano, drums, guitar, etc... While back stage enjoying the first band, Paper Tongues, we got pictures with part of the band members of Neon Trees and to this day when they speak to friends about it and encourage them to listen to their music I can still see how important and special it makes them feel. WE are from American Fork, Utah so the fact they are also from Utah County makes the excitement for them even larger. Is it a coincident or fate that my birthday happens to be May 12th as well? Either way I felt compelled to share my story with you today on Mothers Day!!! I am including pictures of that night as well as one of Ashley. The youngest boy in the pics wearing the black ball cap is not mine but the son of my best friend his name is Cody. I hope your day is filled with Happiness! And remember to always Keep On Keepin' On.

I remember the first time I heard Neon Trees. It was this past summer, shortly after Warped Tour had come to my state. At Warped I was sitting on the ground, tired from the day, and saw a little card. I picked it up and it had a number to text that would let me get a free album that featured a few artists. The album was called This Will Self Destruct and I only knew two of the bands on it, but I decided to get it because, hey, free music! So I downloaded when I got home and I remember loving the Neon Trees track Sin of My Youth. So I looked them up and really got into them. Their songs are just so catchy! When I first heard Animal on the radio I was super happy and proud that they'd be getting the attention they deserved.
Then last month I went to a My Chemical Romance concert and Neon Trees was one of the opening bands. They were amazing! Tyler has SO much energy and is just extremely fun to watch. I sang my heart out. I think it's really great when a band is not only musically talented, but fun to watch as well.
On a side note, after the concert I was sitting outside of the venue with my friends when Chris and Branden walked out. I cheered for the and clapped and then everyone else started to as well. Once they had walked away it occurred to me that they had just walked by. And I remained sitting. I could have gotten their autographs. Not the sharpest moment of my life... Haha.
Anyway, this is just a rather long way of expressing my love for the band and how it came to be.

Why do I love Neon Trees? That's a loaded question. I always assumed anyone whose ever really listened to their music high energy music, would instantly fall in love!
I remember the first time I heard Animal on the radio. It was after a long day of work, I was alone driving home, and started smiling as soon as Tyler's voice belted out through my speakers. My first thought was "K, (my 8yr old daughter) would LOVE this!" ... by the end of the song I was singing along. I sat in my truck until the DJ came on to announce I had been listening to Animal by a new band named Neon Trees. The next day, I told K she had to hear this new song I had heard.
She rolled her eyes, said "No,that's ok," and I YouTubed it anyway.
When I saw them I grinned at the front man's mohawk, cool points. As soon as she heard them singing, she grabbed the phone from my hand smiling. When the song went off she insisted on replaying it about 10 times... and said she wanted to hear more music from them. Calling My Name was song two. I'm thinking, "Dang, we may have found something here!" Our new morning ritual quickly became Neon Trees while getting ready, then turned into Neon Trees while on the road, K was DJ. I was fairly new to twitter, so I looked them up. Saw a tweet that said to follow "Tylerinacoma" had no clue who he was, but enjoyed reading his randomness. I figured it out finally one day when K confessed she thought the singer was cute (I had to look him up). I thought dang, he is,and that's that twitter guy, how funny! I was introduced.
As for the music, I love good tunes. But the lyrics I understood on a completely different level. I always felt the emotion of Tyler as he sung. I was going through a hard period in my life; I had been divorced for three years and hadn't even "dated" yet... as crazy or silly as it sounds, Neon Trees helped me realize those emotions didn't have to stay bottled up. (I must spare you the details of the entire saga)
K wanted a Neon Trees Birthday Party ... this is when I actually learned about Tree Huggers, Addicts, and Maniacs. I started tweeting with a few fans, and realized how much we have in common. I feel lost going a day without tweeting or facebooking them... they are my family of maniacs.
Mostly it's the positive influence they have over the young fans. I try to interact with them, because everyone of them are amazing. As cruel as the world is, everyone needs a safe place to be themselves, and see that people still care. Neon Trees has introduced many of them someone to talk to, that will be positive.
As for the bullying speeches, I couldn't be prouder of a band! I think everyone can relate to being bullied. Using their popularity, yet not being overbearing is a great way to be heard and listened to.
Meeting them confirmed what rad people they were. All of them were so nice to my daughter and her best friend! They made them feel special.
Why do I love the Neon Trees? They are caring, beautiful, funny, fun, good-hearted people with fans that are just as great! Oh, and they happen to be able to bust out some of the best songs ever!

Author: AdrianHi guys! I liked Neon Trees from the first time that I [heard] Animal. I said this is a great band cause to me, they're a different band. Some days after I bought Habits and I said I have to see them and everybody told me "Why you like that band? Nobody knows them." And I said I don't care, you don't know about music. So one day a friend told me, "hey Neon Trees is gonna be in concert" and said this is my opportunity. And I was working to buy my ticket and I went to see them from Mexico; I was like "woooww they're amazing!" and now I love them, they're my favorite band.

I became a devoted fan the first day I heard and met this fantastic group called “Neon Trees”. First of all allow me to let you know that I am not your typical fan, in the fact that I am 58 years of age. My daughter (age 25) and I would go to concerts usually whenever she couldn't find anyone else to go with her. However, that all has recently changed. Thanks to the Neon Trees, I now have a favorite group. This particular group has brought my daughter and I closer than ever before. We live in Florida but have traveled to NYC and California to see Neon Trees perform. Of course, we also hit all the local spots here in Florida that they are performing as well. Since December of 2010, we have seen them perform 7 times. In fact, when they came down to perform at SunFest in West Palm Beach, FL., I had contacted Chris through FaceBook regarding getting him and the rest into the Disney Parks. I had told him in NYC that since he/they have given us such joy in listening and watching them, I wanted to do something for them as well. POOF!!! Getting them into DisneyWorld. After I sent that particular message to him, it was only a matter of a few minutes when I received my response. Indeed, he and a few others did want to go into the parks and were very anxious to go. As it turned out besides Chris, Tyler and Branden showed up with Kate and another young lady. We all spent at least 3 hours together at the park. Needless to say, I did my best to keep it very low-key. In fact, there was only one young lady who spotted Chris . Of course, they all posed for a photo with her.
This group of young people are not only entertaining, but also very down to earth and very caring souls. I, along with many others, would be proud to call them “friend”. They are very special people and I wish them all the best of luck in their future.

The first time I heard Neon Trees I was at home getting ready to leave. I heard the Animal and had to stop and watch the video. I thought the song is so catchy and poppy not usually my cup of tea but I was starting to like it. The next day I was driving with my sister and we heard Animal on the radio and I told my sister how awesome the video was. When I got home I look up on the Internet who this band was. When I found them and listen to their music I thought it was awesome. The next day I told my sister that we NEED to buy the CD. Neon Trees became my obsession for months. Then in October we first saw them live at a radio station it was a little acoustic show but it was still awesome and they were so nice! May 15 will the first time I really see them live at a real show. I am so excited I'm taking my sister and our best friend who we also started the addiction that is Neon Trees. This is why I love Neon Tree there music is such a great sound and is like the soundtrack to a life that I would love to have. They inspire me to be myself and don't take anything from anyone. They are a great band that deserves all the good things that come to them!!

My reason for falling in love with Neon Trees:
About a month ago, I joined the ecology club at my school because of my friend. We then were asked whether we wanted to volunteer at Sunfest. I said sure, and my friend said we were going on Sunday so we could see Neon Trees. At that time, I only knew the one song, Animal. So I buy their cd to listen to over and over so I can learn the words. I look up pictures of them and learn all their names. Over the course of 2-3 weeks, I ONLY listened to Neon Trees, and fell in love with every single one of them, Tyler and Chris especially. Then I saw them at Sunfest, and fell even more in love because of how amazing they are live and how nice Tyler seems (I even got a picture with him! He was just standing in front of the stage a couple hours before the show).
I really want this vinyl, because I will cherish it like no other. Lately, I have been printing out god knows how many pictures of Neon Trees, and my mom is getting mad at all the ink I've been using.
And... that's it. Thanks for letting me enter!

Falling in love with Neon Trees last summer shopping at Hollister clothing. After finding out who they were, I listened to the entire album, which was just right for the moment His voice just was can not even describe after hearing Animal, the next song was Farther Down and then I was hooked. And waiting for the 1983 video I was addicted, I was a Tree Hugger and an Addict proud to say those songs and album are the only ones that played at my house and was introduced to my friends until the day when I saw them in real life in NYC PC Richards was amazing and no turning back. The performance was energetic. I love looking back at the video of that day brings me to the day of the concert,it was a weekend of treelove. More than I ever thought it would be I was lucky to see them at Hammerstein Ballroom and the pre-screening of "Due Date" at the movie theatre .The reality is I love this band and I can not get enough!; the music touches me and during this time I did have some personal life things happen and as i cried I heard all these songs in the background of my mind and it helped me it made sense I love the music I love Tyler's voice and I love how they are real and accessible to their fans I am glad for their success and i continue to support them and I hope the very best for them i would love the vinyl I am a true fan who loves their music and looks forward to every performances I have made friends through neon trees that are nice and real ,and I look forward to their surrender tour and future tours concerts etc,I am a true NY FAN I will always love neon trees and happy to hear your surrender on the radio.

The first time I saw Neon Trees perform was March 18, 2011 at Universal Studios, Orlando Florida Mardi Gras. I had no clue who the band was but it was something to do for the day so I went to Universal and waited 2 hours 30 minutes for Mardi Gras to start and for them to come out. As they performed I stood and watched as the crowd around me screamed for them, I didn't know any of their songs not even Animal but their passion rocked me. At one point in the show Tyler Glenn stopped to talk about bullying he said “It breaks my heart to see young lives ending too soon because of nonsense bullshit and bullying” I could see the tears in his eyes as he said this. The raw genuine passion throughout the entire show rocked me to my core. My life changed that night. I went home after the concert and immediately bought Habits, the bonus edition off of iTunes and bought Calling My Name and Never Tear Us Apart as well.
Music is that place that we can all go for a pick me up. Music is that place in our lives that is secure and special for each of us individually. I'm 19 years old and I'm just now finding that with Neon Trees. When I listen to their music I'm inspired and I'm safe. When I listen to their music the pain from constantly being bullied, the pain from rumors, the pain of my family's problems melts away. Their music gives me a place to belong, a place to relax and feel secure about myself. Their music makes me feel confident and beautiful and normal.
The second time I saw Neon Trees perform was May 1, 2011 at Sunfest, West Palm Beach Florida. It was complete Magic. Going to see them this time as a fan and not a stranger was a completely different experience. I knew every song. I sang along with every song. I danced. I cried. I screamed. It was Magic. I fell in love with Neon Trees all over again. I was able to meet all of the Trees after the show. They signed my ticket and gave me high fives and hugs. Branden thanked me for a gift I gave him, Chris thanked me for singing along during the show, Tyler said he recognized me from twitter, that he appreciated all of my supportive tweets and that I was beautiful, Elaine danced and sang with me and she gave me a high five. All I was expecting was for them to sign my ticket they gave me so much more and they will never know how much that has impacted my life. They have changed me. I will be going to see Neon Trees for the third time on May 18, 2011 Your Surrender Tour, Jacksonville Florida and hopefully again on September 1st in New York.
I went to Mardi Gras on March 18th as a stranger just looking for something to do. I left as a Maniac, an Addict, and a Tree Hugger a dedicated fan completely mind blown by this amazing group. I love Neon Trees because they are so incredibly genuine and passionate about what they do. I have learned how to be proud of who I am and I have learned that I shouldn't be ashamed to let my Freak Flag Fly High. Neon Trees does not make music for the money or the fame they do it because they believe in the power of music. They believe in their fans. They believe in me. For them I am a Maniac and for them I try to give back as much as they have given me. I am completely inspired to be incredible because I am apart of a fan base that supports an incredible group of people who make incredible music.

Neon Trees means so much to me. The music has gotten me through some pretty rough times. Their music suits all of my moods. Doesn't matter whether I'm sad or happy. I'll get up & dance to their music no matter where I am. In fact, just last week, YOUR SURRENDER played at work & I danced right then & there. They tell their fans to be who they are & lift them up.
They exude LOVE & AFFECTION!! & I feel it! They make me feel like I've known them since childhood whenever we hang at a show. They make me feel even more loved than family & friends that I've known all my life.
Everyone that knows me will tell you that I talk about Neon Trees almost all of the time. About shows, where they currently are located in the world, how amazing Tyler's hugs are, how rockin' Elaine is, the quirkiness of Chris, & how mean Branden can strum on the bass. The radio DJs know me as Sarah Neon Trees Pina because I'm always calling in to request their songs. They haven't seen a bigger NT fan, so I've been told.
Most of my wardrobe is inspired by the band. I don't even know how much self made NT gear I have. They've taken over my closet, my radio, my ears, my soul & my heart! I've bought several copies of Habits & handed them out to friends as well as random people.
I absolutely can't forget about the amazing friends & family I've met through the band. THE TREEHUGGERS & MANIACS! I've met so many of them at shows & have become great friends with a lot of them. We can share the love that we have for the band with each other that others don't understand. Neon Trees have a permanent place in my heart now & ALWAYS!

Why do I love Neon Trees?
The first time I heard Neon Trees was one of very few times I was listening to the radio (my iPod happened to be dead). I was in a bad mood because I had recently gotten kicked out of the place I was living with a friend, another friend had decided that smoking pot was more important than keeping me as a friend, I was living out of my car and was dealing with some health issues. So Animal comes on and from the first set of claps I forgot what was wrong in my life. I couldn't help but dance while I was driving (to a doctor appointment no less). Then while I was at the appointment getting blood drawn (I'm terrified of needles) I distracted myself by humming the song I had just heard. I went to the library with my laptop and looked up who it was and downloaded the songs I could find.
Throughout the last year Neon Trees have been there through everything... Losing my job, ups and downs with my health (I've been good for about 8 months now, since my life settled down a little), losing a friend (who was in the military and we're pretty sure was murdered for being gay) and oh so much more. ANYTIME I'm a little down, I reach for my iPod or my phone and blast Neon Trees. It brings me out of my funk. I got to see them on My Chemical Romance's World Contamination Tour (in Des Moines) and I even "met" Tyler (I was staying at the same hotel, saw him checking in after the show, said "Hey, you guys were awesome tonight." He said Thanks. I ran to my room with the food I was heating up. )
I wish I had had the guts to ask for an autograph or a quick picture, but he looked tired and I didn't want to be a bother. Besides I'm really shy that way...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author: MariaHey Tree Huggers!! I'm Maria and I'm from [...] I'm a HUGE Neon Trees fan and I'm going to tell you why. The Neon Trees are a special band that doesn't just write great and catchy songs, but they have meaning to them. They actually put thought into each song so that it doesn't just become a single on the radio, but the whole album is just absolutely amazing! Each member of the Neon Trees is an inspiration and they aren't afraid to be themselves on stage. When I first bought their album back in December, I knew they would be a band that will eventually become a bigger band that everybody will eventually know of! Hopefully, they will be performing on awards shows someday. But anyways, when I went to my first concert back in March, it was an experience I will never forget. They didn't just sing their music, but they made it fun by running around the stage and getting the crowd hyper! I will also be seeing them again May 27th at Cleveland's House of Blues. I would love to win this concert because the Neon Trees have shaped my life in many different ways.

I love Neon Trees with all of my heart. I love how unique they are and their music makes me feel understood. They show people that it's okay to be different and to break the status quo. Not to mention that their songs are beautiful. I've met them twice and they're the nicest people I've ever met! Even made my own Neon Trees jacket. If I won this vinyl copy of Animal, I will be the happiest maniac/tree hugger in the world! Thank you. Happy Birthday Trees Huggers!

I absolutely adore Neon Trees. <3 Mr. Glenn's voice just gives me so much energy. The fact that he's over-coming his heart problem and still kickin' ass inspires me so much to follow my heart. Their tunes have helped me through so much since Habits dropped.

I love Neon Trees because they are a source of inspiration for me, my idols and they saved my life every time I play, because their music helps me to overcome difficult times and accompany me in the most beautiful.
They are talented, I know their songs by heart and would love to meet them someday.
I have their CD Habits autographed but I don't have a vinyl of Neon Trees. I'd really like to have one, would be a great birthday present which is the next May 20.

Why do I love Neon Trees?
First off, their music was the first in a long time that when I heard it on the radio I had that “oh yeah” feeling. You know what I mean. That feeling that moves through you until you can't wipe the smile off your face and you're hungry for more. I love that it's impossible to NOT move your body when you hear their music. I love that they are musicians who are true to their music and what they want to put out there. I love that when you hear them play a song acoustically you get a whole new appreciation for the song and their talent. I love that they are genuine role models and take that seriously. I love that they reach out to their fans and show a sincere appreciation of them. I love that they encourage everyone to be themselves and fly their freak flag high. I love that you can see they really enjoy what they are doing; they get into their own music and they seem genuinely grateful for being able to do so. I love the positivity they put out there. I love that I truly feel every song and never tire of any of them.

I love Neon Trees. They are so unique and distinct in sound. The way ALL of their songs on Habits are very catchy and fun to sing along to make me love them even more. I was blown away when I saw them headline for MCR in Oakland. How everyone sang Animal together was amaZing. They will go a long way. As for when I first heard Habits, I can listen to it all day on repeat and never get tired of it. Well, that's it. Oh and Elaine is a badass drummer and Tyler's hair is sassy. XD
Birthday Giveaway - Winning Entry
The driving force behind my love for Neon Trees has a lot to do with my first concert. It was a special moment for me, not because I was seeing my favorite band live for the first time, but because the concert itself completely changed my life. Cliche, but it's true.
Around the time of the concert, I wouldn't have pinned myself as emotionally stable. I was unable to be in the marching band (a huge part of my life) for the first time in four years, there was drama in my sorority and fraternity that I wanted nothing to do with (but was a part of anyways), my adviser told me that due to a class scheduling error I'll be graduating in three years, not two as intended (with only 60 credits left), and I was unable to contact my parents for a week to tell them about this. I started becoming rather antisocial and doing a bunch of reckless things like staying out way too late, spending too much money shopping, and going to Islands of Adventure after class on a Monday.
A few friends and I were walking out of Marvel towards Toon Lagoon when we saw one of the huge posters for Mardi Gras concerts. There were several on there that I wanted to go to, but the only one I made it to was March 18, Neon Trees. I had only heard two of their songs, but I figured a free concert would be an awesome time to check them out.
I manage to make it to the concert without having any mental breakdowns in the weeks prior. I was pretty excited at this point; I was relatively close to the stage, and no tall people were blocking my view. My friend kept describing the concert she went to to me over Facebook and repeatedly telling me how amazing they are live. I thought it was going to be like The Killers concert I went to a year before. I was way off.
Neon Trees made their way onto the stage one at a time. Tyler went up their last, and that was when everyone started going ballistic. He started hyping everyone up, and then they played the first downbeat. My first thought was that I didn't know this song. My second thought was I didn't really care because it was awesome. This was the kind of music I didn't know I was looking for in the first place. Elaine's drums were the pounding force behind my heartbeat, Branden and Chris's bass and guitar melodies were making me dance (awkwardly, but that's my style), and Tyler got me screaming on pitch to whatever he was singing at the time. It was fun, I was wild, and it was the first time in a while I haven't been able to stop smiling and laughing.
A two-and-a-half hour concert undid years of pent-up emotions, fears, and doubts that kept me from being the crazy, carefree person I knew so long ago. I didn't care that I didn't know how to dance or I didn't know what I was singing half the time; I was having so much fun! Neon Trees isn't the kind of band that shows up, asks the audience how they're doing, plays a few songs, and leaves; they wanted to make sure we left inspired, ready to take on whatever life throws in our face, and know we're not alone.
I talk about Neon Trees a lot to people, and they just think it's a band I'm crazy about because they have good music. They're not just a band; they're THE band that motivated me to not quit on myself when everyone else has and to not let others fall in the same trap.
That's what happened at my first Neon Trees concert. That's the reason why I love Neon Trees.

Many thanks to everyone who entered, bared their soul, and gave us personal stories that are close to your hearts.

All you guys have to do is send me an email, neontreesfans@gmail.com, and explain to me why you love Neon Trees. I want to hear exactly why! The better the stories and reasons, the better chance you have of winning. Just saying, "Omg, I love them because Animal rocks!" will get you entered, but your logic and reasoning won't boost you up in the polls. I'm not looking for Shakespeare, either. Just be truthful and have fun! Tell me about how the first time you heard Habits convinced you of your love or how you identify with the music or how their shows sealed the deal!
Also, this giveaway is open to Tree Huggers all over the world! So if you live in the U.S., Japan, France, Australia or wherever, you can enter!
Rules:
The winner will be chosen by myself and a non-Tree Hugger second party and we'll announce the winner at 9pm Eastern Time (6pm Pacific) on May 12, 2011 at all of our social outlets. The winner will also be sent an email of congratulations and will be asked to reply with their mailing address; please respond within 5 days. Winner's prize will include one (1) 10-inch Animal vinyl, signed.
We're totally looking forward to hearing what all of you have to say! If there are any questions, do not hesitate to ask via email, Twitter, etc.
Good luck, everyone!

Also, we are very happy to see so many people out there who love Neon Trees and support them by going to shows, promoting, buying the music and merch, and just talking about the band with family and friends! It's people who do these things and so much more that help the band and are a part of the reason the band is where they are today.

The Tree Huggers "12 Days of Neon Trees" Holiday Challenge
Hello, Tree Huggers and every other Neon Trees fan out there!
Tis the season and I wanna see all of you get creative this week, so I have a small challenge for everyone!
We all know the typical, traditional holiday songs. Especially ones like The 12 Days of Christmas. What I want you guys and gals to do is make your own version of that song! A 12 Days of Neon Trees, if you will. (You're also totally welcome to call it something better if you can come up with it, lol).
Here are some guidelines to remember as you spill your glittery holiday guts for us to see:
1) It must have the band's name, 'Neon Trees' in it at least once. This seems 'duh', but I just want to be clear. It is a Neon Trees themed song, after all.
2) You have to do all 12 days. If you want to do more days (up to 25), feel free. But Iet's hope you're creative enough for that extra challenge.
3) In terms of any censorship, etc., just keep it at PG13-ish. I'm not going to start a pervy contest. Well... Nah.
4) Be respectful of the band members, their families, and others involved with NT if you choose to mention them.
5) Have fun; be creative! Get funny, sweet, punny, etc. Just go for it! You don't know if you don't try! Better to try than do nothing at all!
Due date is Christmas Eve, December 24th, at NOON (Pacific Time).
Winner will be announced December 27th. I will email the winner and also tweet/archive/Facebook their name and the winning submission.
Depending on the number of entries, I will archive them all for reading.
Winner gets a custom made Neon Trees ornament (just like the ones featured on the Wish List single cover art!) (Filled with the photos of your choice) courtesy of Jennifer Trainor ( @jbtrainor)!
Second prize is a Neon Trees poster!
Please email your submissions to neontreesfans@gmail.com. Include your first name & last initial, your Twitter name (if applicable) and, if you wish your name not to be posted if you win or we post your submission in the Archive, a pen name. If you absolutely do not want yours posted (unless you win then it will be, regardless), please include this after your personal info in the email. In the subject line, please put "12 Days of Neon Trees Contest."
If you don't follow these submission guidelines above, including the 'rules', you may not be eligible to win. Winner will have two days to contact us about mailing their prize. If you don't respond in time, we pick new winners. Winners will be informed when their prizes will be shipped. All private information shared will stay that way--private.
If anyone has any questions or comments, please feel free to tweet @NTFTreeHuggers or write on our Facebook wall or comment on this post.
Good luck, everyone and I can't wait to see everyone's creativity!

Neon Trees skateboard design contest
[To get all the details on this awesome contest, visit CreativeAllies.com]
Description
Neon Trees are a combination of slick pop hooks and sturdy organic rock. Their Mercury Records debut, Habits, (on sale at Amazon.com for just $3.99 here: http://idj.to/c8ChY4) is a blast of timeless rock energy and spirit that wouldn’t sound out of place at any point from ‘60s garage-rock to 2010 dance rock.
The band is turning to Creative Allies for our first custom skateboard design contest. Use the album name "Habits" as a starting point for your submission and let your imagination take over. Avoid the obvious Neon and Tree references. All you need to include is the band's name in your design. Dig into the band's website, music and videos to get a feel for their artistic vibe: http://fameisdead.com
