[Audio Perv:] Review of Summer Stage, Central Park in NYC

Neon Trees were the direct support band at the Central Park show, playing a catchy 40 minute set. Singer Tyler Glenn is a wondrous frontman with near limitless energy and charisma (apparently lacking only a belt for his pants), and it definitely showed last night. The crowd was curious, most likely due to the enormous success of single “Animal”, but definitely went away highly impressed. The band played an impressive cover of Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)” after announcing that there were many PYT’s in the audience.

"Glenn embodies what every teenager wants to be when they grow up; a rock star. There was no shortage of charisma, energy and sex appeal oozing from Glenn throughout the hour long set. He came on stage rocking ray bans, a studded leather jacket, and a serious mohawk. The other members looked the part as well as guitarist, Chris Allen, was donned the designated emo guy, a bearded bassist, Branden Campbell, sported Elvis Presley-esque hair, and the coolest chick ever, Elaine Bradley, banged on the drums and looking like she was having the time of her life."
