TNT Down Under Interview with Neon Trees

Utah-based alt rockers Neon Trees first rose to prominence when the Killers hand-picked them as touring buddies a few years back. Nowadays, however, they’re big in their own right. Last year’s debut album, Habits, was a hit, as was the massive single “Animal”. Currently in the US after a UK tour, they’re in Australia next week, so we called up singer Tyler Glenn.

Neon Trees @ Prince Bandroom

On Thursday 4th of August Neon Trees took to the stage in front of their fan base predominantly consisting of young, somewhat attractive females and conversely seedy, pathetic guys who were trying to pick up these females. But enough about the audience, because we’re here to review the performance of this lively band from Utah.

Nothing anyone says or does can quite prepare you for the stage show that is Neon Trees, the crowd go wild as front man Tyler busts out some of the wildest microphone moves ever seen and the stage outfits alone are newsworthy.

Neon Trees Aussie Tour: The Pop Rockers Head Down Under...

Their catchy, guitar-driven pop-rock songs and smouldering debut single made them ones to watch in 2011, and now, US sensations Neon Trees are coming down under!

Neon Trees Tour

Neon Trees are heading down under for what will be their first official Australian tour. The band will entertain crowds in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with hits such as ‘Animal’ and ‘1983’.

Since first tasting a hint of fame as special guests on The Killers 2008 North American tour the band have since exploded out of the blocks. Signing a deal with Mercury Records shortly after the successful tour, they released their debut album Habits in America in 2010 to warm reviews and massive airplay across the country.

Neon Trees Chat About Their Obsession With Australia
