Las Vegas Review Journal: Interview with Branden

They are clean-cut Trees. Their tour contract (their rider) used to require a cheese pizza. Their tour bus is packed with peanut butter and pita chips. Campbell says other rockers demand different bottles of alcohol for different days of the week.
He muses: "We should say, 'We want chunky peanut butter. But if it's Wednesday, we get creamy peanut butter!' " Campbell says the band has cut a new song with superstar DJ Kaskade, who's also Mormon[...]

Rooting For The Underdog: Our Interview With Neon Trees

I caught up with the warmhearted and down-to-earth Branden Campbell in between show dates and he talked about touring, their current video contest, and going off the beaten path... in more ways than one.

Neon Trees have been growing ever bigger this spring as the rockers follow-up a Coachella appearance and a supporting slot for My Chemical Romance with their current headlining tour.

Neon Trees Light Up Mardi Gras! Galveston

" Mardi Gras! Galveston has come a long way, musically, from cover bands and tribute acts.

This year’s incarnation includes Texas country, slick alt-pop and buzzy headliner Neon Trees. (And parades. So many parades.)

Neon Trees first lit up in 2006 in Provo, Utah. The band’s major-label debut, Habits, was issued last year and spawned the hit Animal. The band’s New Wave-inspired sound has earned steady love, a slot at last year’s Lollapalooza and recent European success.

Bassist Branden Campbell recently talked music, hair and chasing tornadoes: "

Neon Trees: Shining a light in a world of vice

" Utah rock-pop group Neon Trees, are loud and proud about about being Mormons and as frontman Tyler Glenn and bassist Branden Campbell explain, it’s their faith that’s kept them straight and narrow on the rock 'n' roll road.

“Bands like Paramore are very clean, they only have chocolate milk on their rider. I know for us it’s given us a ground to stand on when things get crazy. Things do get crazy, we’ve seen a lot,” says Glenn sitting at Sydney’s Universal Music headquarters, his tooth still chipped from falling offstage last month. “Maybe I should keep it, my badge of honour,” he laughs.

Campbell is very diplomatic and makes it clear you don’t have to love Jehovah to be in the band. “Neon Trees has never set out to be a Mormon or Latter Day Saint band, we’re a rock n’ roll pop band and in our lives, music is just one thing that we do.” "

The Beat Goes On

" These seasoned artists didn't fall a hair short during their brilliant performances, having no problem enticing 'the animal' in the crowds. This being significantly true for one of the freshest bands out: The Neon Trees, whose bass player, Branden Campbell kindly gave a moment for me to interview him... "
